Where can I sit the test?

You can sit the citizenship test in selected locations in Australia and at a number of overseas locations.

Australian test centre locations

Appointments that include taking the citizenship test are held at departmental offices in all capital cities and at some other locations. Outside of capital cities appointments are offered at some Centrelink and Medicare offices.

Waiting times for a citizenship appointment to sit the citizenship test will vary.

All tests are administered by officers from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Staff at Centrelink and Medicare offices will not be able to provide you with any information or assistance about your test.

The test centre locator shows testing centres near you.

Offshore test locations
