Comment on our new website

This website was released on Citizenship Day 17 September 2009, to celebrate 60 years of Australian citizenship.

It has been refreshed with a new look and plain English content. The refresh is a result of suggestions from clients and the recommendation of the Citizenship Test Review Committee to use basic English in all materials that assist people prepare themselves to apply for citizenship.

The website brings in new functionality to improve and enhance the presentation of citizenship information to clients.

This includes:

• Show and Hide text ability on pages to minimise page length and scrolling
• New step-by-step tables to explain citizenship application processes
• Streaming multimedia for video and audio
• Enhanced search
• Icons that are automatically applied to links to provide additional information about the link functionality
